G3000 FAA Data Comm for 4.8 - M2 CJ3+
Installs software functionality to enable FAA Data Comm for direct data link communication between the pilot and Air Traffic Control via an FAA Data Comm subscription available through Garmin. Garmin requires a yearly administrative fee for the subscription. FAA Data Comm communication capability is only available over the continental United States. The pilot and co-pilot touch-screen control panels are the primary crew interfaces for sending and receiving data link messages to/from Air Traffic Control. FAA Data Comm communications are VHF communications (no Iridium communication). Option 632A (VHF Datalink Radio) is required for FAA Data Comm capability.
