GSR 56 and Connext Install - CJ3+ M2
Textron Aviation will install a GSR-56 Iridium Satellite Datalink Transceiver and a GDL-59 Flight Parameter Recorder. In addition to monitoring the engine and flight parameters, this system will also provide voice and data communications as well as worldwide uplink weather. Installation will be similar to factory install drawing 9100501-71. The following components will be installed:
- Telephone Handset
- Iridium/GPS Antenna
- GSR 56
- Antenna, Dual Band
- GDL59 Datalink
Part of the Garmin Connext® family of flight connectivity solutions, the GSR 56 satellite datalink brings on-demand global weather information — as well as onboard text/voice communications, aircraft position tracking and more — to aircraft operators worldwide.
Using Connext satellite services, GSR 56 can provide seamless global coverage nearly everywhere your aircraft can go — even in locations not previously served by other satellite networks. Simply set up voice and data service (subscription required), and start enjoying added safety and convenience on every flight.
Installation will be via TC data.
