The Primus Elite upgrade is designed for the Primus 2000 cockpit integrated suite. The Primus Elite flight deck retrofit delivers the most sophisticated and user-friendly display upgrade available today, featuring powerful graphics, advanced features and the improved clarity of liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. Enhancements include XM Graphical Weather, Jeppesen® electronic charts, maps and video display capability, all enabled through a cursor control interface.
The Primus Elite is designed to meet existing requirements with planned growth functionality to support future situational awareness enhancements. The revolutionary technology allows for CRT to LCD display upgrade without major retrofit effort. The Primus 2000 core system is maintained that results in no impact to flight operations due to differences in format appearance and no impact in training requirements. - Remove forced air cooling
- Removal of DL 900 /950
- Modify DU Mounting Trays
- Install 5 LCD displays
- Install DL-1000
- Install MC-800 Cursor Control Unit (2)
- Install XM WX receiver and antenna
- Perform required wiring changes
- Perform ops test
