G3000 FAA Data Comm for 4.8 - M2 CJ3+
Installs software functionality to enable FAA Data Comm for direct data link communication between the pilot and Air Traffic Control via an FAA Data Comm subscription available through Garmin®. Garmin requires a yearly administrative fee for the subscription. FAA Data Comm communication capability is only available over the continental United States.
The pilot and co-pilot touch-screen control panels are the primary crew interfaces for sending and receiving data link messages to/from Air Traffic Control. FAA Data Comm communications are VHF communications (no Iridium communication). Option 632A (VHF Datalink Radio) is required for FAA Data Comm capability.
